Symfony 1.4.x has been end-of-life since 2012 and has received no security fixes from the upstream project in over a decade — every vulnerability patched in this release has been present and exploitable in every Symfony 1.x installation the entire time. v1.5.0.2 fixes four vulnerabilities including a Critical-severity remote code execution vector, and is a drop-in upgrade for any Symfony 1.4.x project. If you are running Symfony 1.x on a public server, upgrade immediately.
